Hot cup o' Joe!
This is a great travel mug- one of the best i've ever had. Simple in design yet able to keep my coffee hot for hours.

          2.0 out of 5 stars
          Not Good
The coffee remained hot for two hours and then started going cold. I followed the recommended procedure for using this mug.

          3.0 out of 5 stars
Three Stars is Not Necessarily Bad
I've had one of these for years. It is very sturdy and works fine for keeping beverages somewhat near the temperature at which they started (hot or cold) for at least a few hours...

          3.0 out of 5 stars
Doesn't keep liquids hot for longer time period
Given feedback and info provided, I thought that this travel mug would keep liquids hot over an extended time period.

          5.0 out of 5 stars
Great mug, keeps warm for hours
I have gone through quite a few "travel mugs" in the past few years and this is by far the best one yet. It keeps my drinks warm for hours.

          Best travel mug by far
I bought my Nissan traveler 6 years ago and have used it, quite literally, EVERY DAY SINCE. It has never failed me, through my last three years of college and the past three...

I bought my Nissan mug at the end of 1996, when I started biking to work every day. It's suffered a couple of dents as a result of popping out of the old bike's water bottle cage a few times. An ex-girlfriend borrowed the mug and absentmindedly ripped the rubber sleeve off, so for years I just had a bare steel mug (which stays in the water bottle cages better). A year ago I was riding in a bus shuttle to a client's office and found a new rubber sleeve, so now my mug is complete again.

I've had the same issues as everyone else: the flip lid can leak even when closed (especially on bumpy pavement), it collects coffee in the little thing on the lid so you end up with a dot of coffee on your nose, and it doesn't fit in most car cupholders.

All of this gets mitigated, though, when you consider that as long as you don't melt the lid, one of these things should last you a *very* long time. So much better for you and the planet than disposable coffee cups.

          1.0 out of 5 stars
          Not so good.
Insulation properties are excellent. Problem is that the platic portion inside the mug picks up an unpleasant old coffee smell over time that does not clean up.

Why would I spend $32 on a Nissan Travel Tumbler when cheaper knock offs abound? Because this handsome travel tumbler is worth every penny. I've used my tumbler every day for the last three years. To this day, I appreciate the way it's crafted. Its snug-fitting lid ensures against any leakage. That's good news for those of us who like to arrive at work without wearing our coffee. And talk about superior insulation. This tumbler keeps my coffee hot even after my 50-minute commute to work! I also love its sleek and classy appearance. The satin finish gives it a great smooth feel, and there's a non-slip grip so you don't drop it. In case you do though there's no need to worry. I've dropped mine accidentally a few times, but it still looks and works great. This tumbler is for anyone who wants a top quality product.
